All You Need To Know About a Club Med Ski Holiday…

All you need to know about a Club Med Ski Holiday

On a Club Med Ski holiday, expect an all-inclusive experience with ski passes, lessons, meals, and après-ski entertainment included. You’ll find accommodations near ski slopes, and options for lessons from certified instructors, making it great for both beginners and experienced skiers.

Whether you’re gearing up for your very first Club Med Ski holiday, or you’re a seasoned pro ready to hit the slopes again, preparing for a holiday with Club Med Ski involves many important considerations. From choosing the right gear and understanding the range of activities on offer to planning your travel – this guide written by our Club Med Ski holiday experts has got you covered! Here are a selection of answers to some commonly asked questions to help with your preparations:

What is Club Med Ski’s snow guarantee?

Club Med’s snow guarantee ensures that you will have the most optimal conditions for your ski holiday. Club Med guarantee that if more than 50% of the ski domain is closed for 2 or more consecutive days within 5 days of your departure, Club Med offer the option to move your holiday to another Club Med ski resort.

Alternatively, Club Med can offer you a voucher to the value of your holiday cost (excluding the cost of the flights, transfers and extras) which can be used towards a future booking. This guarantee is designed to ensure guests can enjoy skiing and other snow activities without worry.

(the availability of the Snow Guarantee can vary depending on the resort location and the time of the season).

Are Club Med’s Ski resorts ski in / ski out?

All Club Med Ski Resorts in Europe have the extra benefit of being ski-in/ski-out. This is convenient for many reasons:

  • You can maximise your ski time: Ski-in/ski-out setups are perfect for optimising time, which is especially helpful for shorter trips when every moment on the slopes counts.
  • Instant access to the slopes: The main advantage of ski-in/ski-out resorts is the convenience of skiing directly from the accommodation to the slopes. This eliminates the need for shuttles, parking, or carrying equipment over long distances.
  • Safety and comfort: After a day of skiing, you can immediately relax in a warm, comfortable environment without the hassle of travelling back.
  • Perfect for Families and Groups: Ski-in/ski-out is especially helpful for families with kids or mixed-skill groups, as everyone can come and go easily.

How does the Ski tuition work?

There will be a total of 5 days of lessons included in your package. The children’s tuition will be separate from the adults’ tuition – with the minimum age being 4 in most Club Med ski resorts. Private lessons are also available at an additional cost.  Professional ski instructors, all familiar with the ski domain, will guide you over the slopes best suited to your ability, to ensure that you progress safely but surely.

A test on the first morning will determine your level and the right class for you:

Beginners: you have no previous experience of alpine skating
Class 1:
you can control your speed, and are at ease on blue slopes
Class 2:
you can negotiate red slopes at a reasonable speed
Class 3:
you are comfortable skiing on all slopes
Expert:
you are at ease on all types of terrain and snow
