General Questions About Club Med

  • What is Club Med? Club Med is a world-wide collection of all-inclusive sun and ski resorts offering a mix of relaxation, activities, entertainment, adventure, and cultural experiences. They are known for their premium service, family-friendly atmosphere, and wide range of activities.
  • What is included in a Club Med holiday? Your package typically includes accommodation, gourmet meals, drinks (including alcohol & some premium brands), sports and activities, entertainment, and childcare services. On a ski holiday, you will also have your lift pass and ski lessons included.


Travel & Transport

  • Can I book a Club Med holiday without flights? Yes, you can book accommodation-only packages.  Should you opt to book accommodation and Club Med flights as a package, complimentary round-trip transfers between the airport and the resort are included. Alternatively, if you prefer to arrange your own flights, you can book and pay for Club Med transfers with us — simply provide your arrival point and flight details in advance.
  • Do they offer flight upgrades? On flight inclusive packages, we can inform you of any available upgrades. These may depend on your choice of destination, the airlines available for that route and the availability of seats.
  • Which airlines do they work with? Club Med partners with reputable scheduled and charter airlines authorized by civil aviation authorities.


Family & Childcare

  • Is Club Med suitable for families? Absolutely. Many resorts offer kids’ clubs for various age groups, babysitting services as well as family-friendly activities and accommodation.
  • What age groups are catered for?
    • Baby Club Med: 4–23 months
    • Petit Club Med: 2–3 years
    • Mini Club Med: 4–10 years
    • Club Med Passworld: 11-17 years
      • Teens Club Med: 11–13 years
      • Club Med Chill Pass: 14-17 years
  • Can I pay for childcare by the hour or day? Both Baby Club Med & Petit Club Med are at an extra cost. You can choose between half and full day sessions at all Summer Mountain Resort in France as well as Opio en Provence and La Palmyre Atlantique. At all other resorts, these two clubs are only available on a full day basis.


Dining & Special Requirements

  • Is the food buffet-style or à la carte? Most Club Med resorts offer gourmet dining in a buffet-style and specialty restaurants with à la carte menus.
  • Are dietary requirements accommodated? Yes, Club Med resorts can cater to vegetarian, gluten-free, and other dietary needs. Simply inform us at the time of booking.
  • Are drinks included? Alcoholic drinks are included, but some premium brands and champagne may cost extra


Activities & Entertainment

  • What kind of activities are available? Activities vary by resort and whether its sun or ski resort. In sun resorts, activities include tennis and padel, archery, trapeze and circus as well as beach sports. In resorts on the coast, there will also be a selection of watersports like kayaking, sailing and stand-up paddle. In ski resorts, as well your included ski lessons, you can enjoy activities like hiking, snow-shoeing and cross-country-skiing. Both ski and sun resorts offer fitness training class and yoga. All the kids’ clubs offer additional activities in all resorts, including arts and crafts workshops, showtime and group games.
  • How do the ski lessons work? If you’re staying for 7 days, you can enjoy up to 25 hours a week of lessons. You’ll be taught by instructors picked from the National Ski school of the country where your resort is. For lessons, you’ll be split into to groups of no more than 12, organised based on skill level. This ranges from Level A (you’ve never skied) to Level 4 (Can ski on all types of snow and terrain).   • Is there evening entertainment? Yes, Club Med offers nightly shows, themed parties, and live music performances.
  • Do I have to participate in activities? Not at all, you’re free to choose whether you want to take part in any activities on offer.
  • What sports equipment is available at the resorts? Except for skiing equipment (which can be booked with us in advance), all necessary equipment is provided in resort.  See Easy Arrival questions further below.


Rooms & Facilities

  • What accommodation options are available? Accommodation is usually split into Superior, Deluxe and Suite accommodation, each with its own level of amenities and facilities. Within these categories, there is a selection of standard or family rooms. Many of the resorts also offer mobility accessible rooms. Please see individual ski and sun resorts for more information
  • Can I request specific room locations? Yes, but it is subject to availability, on a request basis and are not guaranteed.
  • What are the check-in and check-out times? For all resorts, check in is from 3pm on the day of arrival and check out is 10am on your day of departure.


Club Med Exclusive Collection

  • What is Club Med Exclusive Collection Space? These are defined areas of selected resorts where guests can enjoy premium accommodation as well as exclusive services such as priority booking in spas and gourmet restaurants and a concierge service. There are also dedicated Exclusive Collection Resorts in the Seychelles, Sicily, Mauritius, the Dominican Republic and the French Alps.


Club Med Easy Arrival

  • What is ‘Easy Arrival’? This service allows you to request equipment, lessons, and childcare before arrival so that everything is ready when you get to resort.
  • What can you arrange through Easy Arrival? For all holidays, you can use Easy Arrival to register your children with their chosen kids’ clubs. At all of Club Med’s European ski resorts, the Easy Arrival service also allows you to pre-arrange ski rental and lessons.
  • What are the benefits of using Easy Arrival? By using Club Med’s Easy Arrival service, you will spend less time at reception upon arrival, with everything you need ready to pick up. If you are skiing, your ski school tickets will be in your welcome booklet and your chosen equipment will be waiting in your designated locker, ready to try on. If you’ve book childcare, you simply need to meet the club manages to finalise details.


Adult Only Holidays

  • Which club med resorts are adult only? Club Med Turkoise in Turks & Caicos is their only 18yrs+ resort, however they do have a selection of resorts with adult only accommodation or adult only zones. Read the Club Med Ski Guide to find out more. 


Booking & Cancellation

  • Can I cancel or change my booking? Club Med has a cancellation policy that varies depending on the booking terms. Flexible booking options may be available.


Best time to book

  • When is the best time for best prices and availability? The best time to book is usually during their season opening sales. For ski and long-haul sun, this is usually in February.   • What are the benefits of booking early? By booking as early as possible, you will enjoy the best prices, availability of departure dates, resorts, rooms and a la carte childcare.


Tipping & Extras

  • Is tipping expected? Tipping is not expected at Club Med Resorts.
  • Are there shops or extras on-site? Yes, resorts often have boutiques and optional paid services like spa treatments and excursions.
