Day 1 – Fly to Nairobi

Fly from London (regional connections available) to Nairobi. Overnight at the Sheraton Four Points (or similar)

Day 2 – Amboseli National Park

Transfer from Nairobi to Amboseli National Park by safari vehicle. Arrive on time for lunch before enjoying wildlife watching activities. Stay 2 nights at the Ol Tukai Lodge (or similar)

Day 3 – Amboseli National Park

Spend a full day in Amboseli National Park, embarking on morning and afternoon safari drives. Look out for bush elephants, cape buffalo, spotted hyenas and more.

Day 4 – Tarangire

This morning, depart from Amboseli and drive around 2 hours to the Namanga border, crossing into Tanzania. Enjoy lunch in Arusha before continuing to Tarangire. Upon arrival, the rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 5 – Ngorongoro Highlands

Enjoy an early morning game drive, before proceeding for 3 hours to the Ngorongoro highlands – arriving for leisure time and dinner. Overnight at Pamoja Farm Lodge (or similar).

Day 6 – Ngorongoro Crate

Descend to the crater floor in search of the ‘Big Five’, the forested walls providing a photogenic backdrop. Travel through the Lerai Forest looking for leopard and onto the plains where wildebeests and zebras graze whilst cheetahs and lions lie in watch. A picnic lunch maximises your time in the crater. Return to your lodge late afternoon. Overnight at Pamoja Farm Lodge.

Day 7 – Serengeti National Park

Descend from the Ngorongoro Crater onto the vast plains of the Serengeti, famous for hosting the annual Great Wildebeest Migration from October to July, as well as numerous species year-round. Stay 2 nights at Serengeti Pamoja Camp.

Day 8 – Serengeti National Park

Spend your day exploring the extensive plains of the Serengeti in search of the ‘Big Five’. If you would like to maximise your time on safari, take a picnic lunch with you into the park, dining in the vast savanna before returning to your lodge later in the day.

Day 9 – Fly to the Masai Mara

Transfer to the airstrip for a short scheduled flight to Tarime, then transfer to Migori for your flight to the world-famous Masai Mara National Park. Arrive in the afternoon and enjoy the rest of your day at leisure, with the option of a safari drive.

Day 10 – Masai Mara

Spend a full day in the Masai Mara on morning and afternoon safari drives, with the option of a hot-air balloon ride at extra cost. The renowned Masai Mara reserve and its adjunct concessions are home to prolific wildlife, including the ‘Big Five’. Travel between August and September and you may also witness the dramatic, heart-in-your-mouth river crossings of the Great Migration. Overnight at Zebra Plains Mara Camp.

Day 11 – Lake Naivasha, Great Rift Valley

Transfer from the Masai Mara to Lake Naivasha, arriving in this wildlife-rich area of the Great Rift Valley for an afternoon at leisure. Optional activities include walks and community visits. Overnight at Lake Naivasha Simba Lodge.

Day 12 – Lake Naivasha – Fly to the UK

Take a morning boat ride on the shimmering freshwater lake of Naivasha. Then, enjoy a presentation on conservation pioneer Joy Adamson, sample speciality teas and visit the local museum. This afternoon, transfer to Jomo Kenyatta airport for your outbound flight.

Day 13 – Arrive in London

Ol Tukai Lodge
Ol Tukai Lodge is set in the heart of Amboseli National Park, surrounded by open plains and offering majestic views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the continent’s highest peak The chalet-style rooms have private terraces with uninterrupted views of the wetlands or Kilimanjaro, and a shared swimming pool provides a welcome relief from the day’s heat. Delicious meals are served on the main veranda, where lucky diners can watch wildlife just metres away.

Zebra Plains Mara Camp
This boutique safari camp huddles in the plains of the Masai Mara, one of Africa’s most famous wildlife reserves. The property appeals to nature photographers thanks to its scenic vantage point and frequent visits from the Mara’s roaming, photogenic animals. Accommodation is provided in the form of en-suite tented rooms, with options catering to a variety of party sizes. All rooms include mosquito nets, reading tables, luggage racks, showers and wash basins, among other amenities.
