Days 1 & 2: Fly to Johannesburg
Upon arrival in Johannesburg, transfer to the hotel before having the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 3: Mpumalanga
This morning, visit the Apartheid Museum before embarking on a journey to the Mpumalanga Panorama Route region. Enjoy scenic views as you head to your hotel. After checking in, the rest of the day is free.

Day 4: Panorama Route
Take a ride to the Graskop Gorge Lift, taking in views of the forest canopy. Then, continue to visit God’s Window and Bourke’s Luck Potholes. After seeing the Three Rondavels, check in to your accommodation in time for a dusk safari. End the day with a delightful Christmas Eve dinner at the lodge.

Day 5: Greater Kruger National Park
Spend Christmas Day on thrilling game drives, exploring the park and enjoying close encounters with the wildlife. Enjoy Christmas dinner served under the stars, before taking part in an African drumming class.

Day 6: Greater Kruger National Park
Enjoy more opportunities for spotting the ‘Big 5’ in the company of expert rangers and trackers.

Day 7: Fly to Gqeberha
Transfer back to Johannesburg and fly to Gqeberha. On arrival, transfer to your hotel in time for dinner.

Day 8: Garden Route
Set out this morning towards Knysna. On the way, stop at the Oudebosch Protea farm to learn about South Africa’s national flower. Continue to Tsitsikamma National Park, known for its breath-taking coastal scenery. Finally, arrive in the town of Knysna.

Day 9: Discover Knysna
Begin the day with a boat cruise across the Knysna Lagoon, followed by a guided tractor ride to the summit of the Featherbed Eco reserve. Take a leisurely stroll through the coastal forest discovering unique flora and fauna before enjoying lunch.

Day 10: Knysna to Cape Town
Depart Knysna, travel through Oudtshoorn and visit the captivating Cango Caves before visiting an ostrich farm. Tour the farm on a tractor before enjoying lunch. In the afternoon, continue onto Cape Town.

Day 11: Cape Town
Discover the highlights of Cape Town, visiting landmarks such as the Castle of Good Hope before ascending Table Mountain. Celebrate the new year on the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.

Day 12: Cape Peninsula
Kick off the new year with a sea island cruise, giving you the chance to see the seals in their natural habitat. Depending on the weather, embark on a drive along Chapman’s Pea and explore Cape Point before ending the day with a visit to the penguin colony on Boulder’s Beach.

Day 13: The Winelands
Explore the renowned Winelands today, starting in the town of Stellenbosch. Tour the town before heading to Franschhoek. At the Boschendal Wine Estate, explore the vineyards before enjoying a wine tasting and lunch at Haunt Cabriere. Finish the day with dinner at Gold Restaurant.

Day 14: Cape Town at Leisure Â
Spend the day exploring – perhaps visit the Two Oceans Aquarium, or shop, as you stroll the V&A Waterfront. Why not take a boat tour to Robben Island or ride the Cape Wheel? There are endless options to keep you busy in this wonderful city. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 15-16: Depart Cape Town
Head to the airport for the return UK flight – arriving the following day.
Visit an Ostrich Farm
Enjoy a guided tour in the ‘Ostrich Capital of the World’ and learn about these birds.
Observe the penguins
Observe the penguins at Boulders Beach and enjoy the rugged beauty of the Western Cape.
