Day 1 – Fly to Beijing
Overnight flight from London (regional connections available) direct to Beijing.

Day 2 – Beijing
Arrive and transfer to your hotel for 3 nights. The afternoon is at leisure before enjoying a welcome dinner in the evening.

Day 3 – Beijing
Spend the morning visiting key historic sights including Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. After lunch, spend some time in one of the city’s traditional hutong neighbourhoods.

Day 4 – Great Wall
Enjoy a full day excursion to the Great Wall at Mutianyu, a scenic area north of Beijing.

Day 5 – Xian
Spend the morning at leisure before boarding a high-speed train to Xian. Here, transfer to the Grand Noble Xian Hotel for a 2-night stay.(Breakfast)
Day 6 – Terracotta Warriors – Xian
Morning excursion to the legendary Terracotta Warriors, followed by lunch at a local restaurant. Afternoon visit to the city’s atmospheric Muslim quarter and the Great Mosque. Optional evening performance of Tang dynasty show.

Day 7 – To Nanjing
Take a high-speed train to Nanjing, and check into the Grand Trustel Mandarin Garden. Then, take an afternoon tour to visit Ming Xiaoling, the Zhonghua city gate, and the Confucius temple. Then, take a cruise on the Qinhuai River

Day 8 – To Shanghai
Morning visit to the Memorial Hall of the Nanjing Massacre. Then take a high-speed train to Shanghai. Here, you’ll stay at the Central Hotel for 2 nights.

Day 9 – Shanghai
Morning visit to the Jade Buddha temple, the Yu Garden, and a walk along the Bund. After an afternoon at leisure, enjoy a farewell dinner.

The Grand Trustel Mandarin Garden hotel is in Nanjing’s Qinhuai Scenic District, an area popular with both locals and tourists as there are lots of restaurants, bars and cafes. The Confucius Temple is also within five minutes’ walk. Rooms are spacious and well-equipped. The hotel restaurant serves a variety of Chinese cuisine.
