Day 1: In Flight
Titan Travel’s shared chauffeur service will collect you for your transfer to airport where you board your overnight flight to Tokyo
Day 2: Tokyo
Arrive in Tokyo and transfer your hotel in the futuristic Shinjuku neighbourhood. The rest of the day is free.

Day 3: Tokyo
Join a local tour guide to explore Tokyo, visiting its legendary landmarks including the Imperial Palace, the Senso-ji Temple, and the Meiji Shrine.

Day 4: Mount Fuji & Matsumoto
Travel to Matsumoto today, keeping an eye out for Mount Fuji along the way. Depending on the weather, you may be able to see the volcano’s reflection on Lake Kawaguchi.

Day 5: Matsumoto – Takayama
This morning, visit Matsumoto castle, considered one of the most beautiful in the country. Then, enjoy a sake tasting in a local brewery before travelling through the thickly forested Japanese Alps, arriving in Takayama. Stop at the Hida Folk Village, where you can explore a collection of antique houses. Some departures in April and October will coincide with the Takayama Festival, arriving in time for the Yoi-Matsuri (night parade).

Day 6: Takayama
Soak in the local charms of Takayama on a guided tour, seeing its Meiji era inns and shrines as well as the open-air flower and fruit markets. The rest of the day is at leisure

Day 7: Kanazawa
Transfer by coach to Kanazawa today. In the morning, stop at Shirakawago Village. Upon arrival in Kanazawa, take a sightseeing tour, seeing the Omicho Market and Higashi Chayagai, the teahouse district.

Day 8: Kanazawa & Hiroshima
This morning, take another wander around the city, stopping at the Kenroku-en Garden, a traditional garden with plum and cherry blossoms. You’ll also visit BukeYashiki, the Samurai’s House. Then, board a bullet train to Hiroshima. (Please note, you will need to pack an overnight bag on this day, as your luggage will be transferred separately to Kyoto.)

Day 9: Hiroshima
After breakfast, catch a ferry over to Miyajima Island to see the Itsukushima Shrine and the torii gate. You’ll have some free time here before returning to the city for a walking tour around the Peace Memorial Park and the Atomic Bomb Museum

Day 10: Nara & Kyoto
Catch the bullet train to the city of Osaka, from where you’ll travel to Nara, one of Japan’s ancient capitals. Spend some time wandering through Nara Park, home to adorable deer, and visiting the Todaiji Temple. In the afternoon, continue to Kyoto and spend some time in the Gion area, the city’s famous geisha district.

Day 11: Kyoto
Take a tour of Kyoto this morning, a highlight of which is a visit to the wonderful Ryoanji Temple and the Kinkaku-ji Temple, whose top floors are covered in gold leaf. You’ll also visit the castle of Nijo, known for its unique flooring the replicates nightingale song.

Day 12: Kyoto to Mishima
Experience a traditional Japanese tea ceremony this morning. Learn the intricate details of the ritual before boarding a bullet train to Mishima.

Day 13: Hakone to Tokyo
Drive to Hakone today and embark on a cruise on Lake Ashi. You’ll be able to enjoy stunning views of the mountains. Then, head up to the Owakudani Valley by cable car and visit the Hot Springs in the crater of Mount Hakone. Later, travel to Tokyo.

Day 14: Tokyo to UK
