Days 1-2: Arrive in Colombo
Fly to Colombo, where you’ll be met by a representative for your transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure

Day 3: Sigiriya
After breakfast, travel to Dambulla, and check into your hotel for the next three nights. After a short time to relax, head to the Sigiriya rock fortress this afternoon.

Day 4: Polonnaruwa
Visit Hiriwaduna for a local village experience, with the chance to take a ride on the lake and visit a local home. Then, continue to Polonnaruwa.

Day 5: Anuradhapura
Travel to another of Sri Lanka’s ancient cities, with plenty of time to explore on foot. Visit the Buddhist shrines, beautiful palaces and the parks.

Day 6: Dambulla
Visit the Dambulla Cave Temple this morning. Depart towards Kandy, stopping along the way at the spice garden in Matale. Also, visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic and enjoy a cultural dance show.

Day 7: Kandy
After breakfast, take a boat ride on Kandy Lake before having an afternoon at leisure. In the evening, join a walk in Udawattekele rainforest.

Day 8: Christmas Eve in Nuwara Eliya
Today after breakfast you will be taken to Nuwara Eliya by train. When you get there, you will be collected from the station and taken to the hotel in Nuwara Eliya, to check in relax for the rest of your day enjoying the hotel facilities before your Christmas Eve dinner

Day 9: Christmas in Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast you will be taken for a tea plantation experience dressed in sarees. Return to the hotel for the Christmas celebrations including a Christmas Lunch. Later in the afternoon, enjoy High Tea in the gardens of the Grand Hotel.

Day 10: Udawalawe
After breakfast proceed to Yala, where on your way you will visit Udawalawe Elephant Transit Home. Then learn about curd making, with the chance to try milking a buffalo and tasting curd sweetened with treacle.

Day 11: Yala National Park
Early morning, and later this afternoon, you will be taken for a jeep safari at Yala National park, where you will embark on an adventure safari through the park.

Day 12: Hikkaduwa
Today you travel to Hikkaduwa where you’ll spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 13: Galle Fort
After breakfast you will be visiting Galle Fort. During the tour of Galle, you will have the opportunity to visit Galle Fort, Old Dutch Church and walk along the Rampart.

Day 14: Kosgoda Turtle Sanctuary
Travel towards the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery today, stop on route at a cinnamon plantation. Learn about the uses of the cinnamon. Continue to the hatchery see the eggs hatching or the turtles being returned to the sea.

Day 15: Travel to Colombo
After breakfast and checking out of the hotel, travel to Colombo. You have the day to relax or explore this city on foot, before joining the celebrations at a New Year’s eve dinner at the hotel.

Spend New Year’s Day at leisure to explore Colombo

Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
