Days 1-2: Fly to Bangkok
Fly overnight to Bangkok. On arrival you will be met by your expert tour guide and transferred to your hotel. You have the rest of the day to explore this amazing city.

Day 3: Discover Bangkok
Sightseeing includes a visit to Wat Pho and the Grand Palace, with its colourful temples and golden stupas. You’ll also enjoy a ride in a long tail boat along the Chao Phraya River to Pak Klong Talaat Flower Market followed by a stroll through Chinatown. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 4: Floating Market
Visit the Damneon Saduak floating Market and the Maeklong Railway Track Market. Fly to Chiang Mai this evening.

Day 5: Explore Chiang Mai
Relax in the laid-back charm of Chiang Mai, nestled in Thailand’s northern highlands. Explore the city by rickshaw, visit the Folk Life Museum, see Wat Chedi Luang, and take in the views from mountaintop Wat Doi Suthep. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Kantoke dinner with cultural performances, then browse the lively night bazaar for souvenirs

Day 6: Hmong Hill Tribes Lodge
Visit a local yoga and meditation centre and enjoy a meditation session. After lunch, continue to the Hmong Hilltribe Lodge. This evening, enjoy a barbecue dinner and a cultural show.

Day 7: Elephant Care Centre – Chiang Rai
This morning, visit the Thai Elephant Care Centre in Mae Rim, a serene sanctuary for retired elephants. Travel to Tha Ton and cruise the Mae Kok River by long-tail boat to Baan Pha Tai. Continue by road to Chiang Rai, where you can explore the night market before dining at a local restaurant.

Day 8: Chiang Rai
Explore the laidback, small town charm of Chiang Rai, visiting the eccentric White Temple and Doi Mae Salong.

Day 9: Mekong River
Transfer to the Thai-Laos border and climb aboard a boat to cruise along the Mekong taking in the scenery as you go. Stop at Pakbeng with time to visit the village of Ban Houei Lumpane before settling in for the night.

Day 10: Cruise to Luang Prabang
Back on the river, continue your leisurely cruise down to the beautiful city of Luang Prabang, stopping at the fascinating Pak Ou Caves, a riverside cavern that is full of statues of Buddha that can no longer be used for worship.

Day 11: Explore Luang Prabang
Luang Prabang, with its vibrant colors, rich heritage, and French influence, is the heart of Laos. Visit Ban Xang Khong craft village to see Sa Paper and local handicrafts, then tour key sites like Wat Visoun and Wat Xieng Thong. Later, enjoy a visit to a local wat and chat with friendly monks eager to practice their English.

Day 12: Kuang Si Waterfalls
Rise early to witness the serene Takbat ceremony, a moving procession of saffron-robed monks. After breakfast, climb Phousi Hill for panoramic views and visit the National Museum. Then, travel to the stunning Kuang Si Waterfalls before returning to Luang Prabang via the Ock Pop Tok Weaving Centre.

Day 13: Fly to Vientiane
Catch a flight to Laos’ capital city, Vientiane.

Day 14: Discover Vientiane
Nestled along the Mekong, Vientiane is a charming, laid-back city. Explore Talaat Sao market, Wat Si Saket, Wat Phra Keo, That Luang Stupa, and the Patuxai Victory Monument. Visit the whimsical Buddha Park before ending the day with dinner and a traditional Laos music and dance performance.

Days 15-16: Fly Vientiane to UK
Enjoy a free morning in Vientiane, before catching an overnight flight to the UK, arriving back the next day.

Visit Maeklong Railway Market
Visit this market, famous for being along a railway. Watch the stallholders move their wares out of the way as the train comes through.

See the dawn ceremony of Takbat when the monks of Luang Prabang monasteries collect alms from the locals.
