Explore and discover the magical delights of Vietnam on this enchanting Cox and Kings tour; visit the cities of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) and wander the Vietnam War-era Cu Chi tunnels. You will take a cruise on the Mekong Delta and travel through the beautiful landscapes of Halong Bay, including a night on a traditional junk boat.

Morning arrival. Transfer to the Grand Hotel* (or similar) for 2 nights. Afternoon city tour with visits to the Reunification Palace, Notre Dame cathedral, the War Remnants Museum and a former safe house used by the Viet Cong. Welcome dinner at a local restaurant.

Full day exploration of the Mekong Delta, including a trip to Cai Be, a boat ride and walking in the countryside.

In the morning, drive through the countryside to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels. In the afternoon, transfer to the airport for a flight to Hue. Stay at the Pilgrimage Village for 2 nights. Dinner this evening is at a restored royal home of the Nguyen dynasty.

Visit Hue Citadel, containing the temples and courtyards of the former Imperial City. Then, continue on to the Thien Mu Pagoda, before taking a short cruise along the Perfume River to the city centre. In the afternoon, visit the tombs of the Nguyen emperors Tu Duc and Khai Dinh.

Morning drive over the Hai Van Pass (weather permitting) to Hoi An, visiting Danang’s Museum of Cham Sculpture en route. Afternoon at leisure. Stay 3 nights at the beachfront Boutique Hoi An Resort.

Take a morning tour of the ruined temple of My Son. Enjoy lunch at Streets International, a social enterprise initiative developing sustainable programmes for street children. In the afternoon, tour the former trading port of Hoi An.

Fly to Hanoi and transfer to the Movenpick Hotel Hanoi for a 2-night stay. Optional evening excursion to a water puppet show (payable locally).

Morning tour of the National Museum of History, Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple and the Temple of Literature. In the afternoon, visit Ba Dinh Square and One Pillar Pagoda. Continue to the Military History Museum and meet a former NVA pilot.

Cruise today in an area similar to Halong Bay but with far fewer visitors, known as Lan Ha Bay, in the Gulf of Tonkin. Stay overnight onboard the Heritage.

Morning cruise of Lan Ha Bay. Disembark and drive to Hanoi, where you have use of a hotel room for the rest of the day. In the early evening, transfer to the airport for your overnight flight to London.

Situated on An Bang beach, the Boutique Hoi An Resort is only 35 minutes from the airport and 5 minutes from town on the hotel’s complimentary shuttle service. All rooms and villas face the sea, with fantastic views from the private balconies or terraces and some with direct access to the beach.
The Grand Hotel Saigon is situated in central Ho Chi Minh City, in the downtown District 1 area. Built in 1930 in a French-Colonial style, the hotel was later restored and modernised in 1997. The hotels rooms and suites are spread over two wings.
The Pilgrimage Village is a boutique resort located on the peaceful outskirts of Hue, approximately 10 minutes’ drive from the city centre and 20 minutes’ drive from the airport.
After your visit to Vietnam, take the opportunity to discover the Angkor Wat temples in neighbouring Cambodia and enjoy a cruise on Tonle Sap lake.
