This trip takes you southbound from the rural capital of Hanoi with its bustling markets and rich traditional culture to Ho Chi Minh City, commonly known as Saigon. The contrast between the two cities is palpable. Ho Chi Minh has a distinct French influence including its own Notre Dame Cathedral as well as a fusion of its own traditional incense-infused temples and modern, sleek 21st-century skyscrapers.
