Days 1-2: Fly to Saigon
Fly overnight to the city of Saigon. Once there, the rest of the day is at leisure, giving you the chance to start exploring

Day 3: Saigon & Cu Chi
In the morning, visit the Cu Chi tunnels before returning to Saigon. Explore some the city’s sights, including the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Reunification Museum and the War Remnants Museum.

Day 4: Mekong Delta
Journey to Ben Tre where you’ll begin a cruise on the Mekong. Enjoy a lunch of typical Mekong dishes and make a stop at Vinh Trang Pagoda on the way back to Saigon

Day 5: Journey to Hoi An
Fly to Danang and transfer to Hoi An where you’ll take a walking tour of the town. Visit an old merchant’s house, Quan Cong Temple, and the bustling market

Day 6: Tra Que Village
Head out into the countryside to Tra Que, a small farming community. Here you can enjoy the lush green countryside and stroll through the gardens to see the farmers at work. Later spend the afternoon at leisure back in Hoi An.

Day 7: Imperial Hue
Head to Hue where you’ll visit the Imperial Citadel and Forbidden Purple City. You’ll then head to the UNESCO World Heritage Royal Tomb of Minh Mang. Later on, see the Thein Mu Pagoda before taking a cruise on the Perfume River.

Day 8: Fly to Hanoi
Fly to Hanoi and enjoy an afternoon at leisure.

Day 9: Explore Hanoi
Wander through the Ho Chi Minh quarter where you’ll visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the Stilt House. Then, head to the One Pillar Pagoda and Temple of Literature. Towards the end of the day, take a cyclo tour through the Old Quarter before enjoying a Vietnamese coffee overlooking Hoan Kiem Lake.

Day 10: Christmas Eve in Halong Bay
Board a traditional sailing ship and cruise through the tranquil waters of Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Vietnam’s most stunning destinations. This afternoon, enjoy excursions like kayaking or exploring island caves. In the evening, celebrate with a festive dinner served on Christmas Eve – a tradition influenced by French colonial heritage. Share the celebration with new friends and your National Escort under the starry bay sky.

Day 11: Christmas Day in Halong Bay and Lan Ha Bay
Start Christmas Day with a stunning sunrise over Halong Bay, then sail into the serene Lan Ha Bay, Halong’s quieter, equally beautiful twin within Cat Ba National Park. With limited cruise traffic, you’ll enjoy a peaceful experience. Choose from included activities like kayaking through limestone tunnels at Ho Ba Ham or visiting the colorful floating Cua Van Fishing Village. Cap off the day with a festive drinks reception on deck before your second night onboard.

Day 12: Return to Hanoi
Start Boxing Day with a stunning sunrise over the bay, followed by a choice of morning activities: a refreshing Tai Chi session on deck or an early visit to Sung Sot Cave, one of Halong Bay’s largest and most impressive caverns. Enjoy brunch on board as you sail back to port, then return to Hanoi for an afternoon at leisure.
