Day 1: Fly to Calgary
Arrive at the airport for your direct flight to Calgary

Day 2: Calgary
Start your spectacular journey from Calgary through the rolling landscape of Alberta. For the next three nights, stay in the spa resort of Banff where the rest of the day following arrival is at leisure.

Day 3: Banff
This morning, travel down the stunning Icefields Parkway, with brilliant mountain vistas. The first stop is the famous Lake Louise, followed by Peyto Lake. Finally, see the Columbia Icefield, the largest in the Rockies. If the weather permits, ride on a giant ‘Snocoach’ (weather permitting) across the Athabasca Glacier before returning to Banff

Day 4: Banff Free day
Today, have a free day in Banff, with a selection of activities available in the local area, including helicopter trips, rides up the gondola or walks.

Day 5: Rocky Mountaineer Train
This morning, board the Rocky Mountaineer for the first day of the 585-mile journey. Today takes you along the Bow River Valley, over the Continental Divide, through the spiral tunnels and over the Stoney Creek bridge. Onboard commentary highlights the history of the area and the railway. While on the Rocky Mountaineer, you’ll enjoy SilverLeaf class which includes:

• Complimentary snacks, tea and coffee, non-alcoholic drinks, plus beer and house wine with lunch (bar service at extra cost)

Day 6: Vancouver
Continue your journey to Vancouver. Following the Fraser and Thomson River canyons, passing the Jaws of Death Gorge, Avalanche Alley and Hell’s Gate Canyon, criss-crossing the river many times as you travel through some of British Columbia’s most scenic country. Finally, you reach Vancouver during the afternoon.

Day 7: Vancouver
This morning, tour the city stopping at Stanley Park and Prospect Point. The afternoon is at leisure to continue exploring the city independently.

Day 8: Return Flight
This morning is at leisure before you transfer to the airport for your flight home.
