Day 1: Fly to Havana
Fly to Havana from London (regional connections available), travelling via Madrid. Transfer to your hotel on arrival

Day 2: Havana
Start your tour in the heart of Cuba’s colourful capital city. Enjoy a walking tour and pay a visit to the El Floridita bar – home of the daiquiri cocktail. End the day cruising in style behind the wheel of a classic America car.

Day 3: To Las Terrazas
Established as a sustainable environmental and development project, Las Terrazas provides an ideal introduction to Cuba’s countryside. Visit the local community and the partially restored 19th-century coffee estate.

Day 4: Viñales
Enjoy a full day tour of the Viñales valley, home to tobacco plantations and rounded limestone hills. Visit a cigar factory and take a boat ride through the Indian Cave.

Day 5: To Cienfuegos via the Peninsula de Zapata
Onto the southern coast of Cuba to Cienfuegos via the Peninsula de Zapata for a 2-night stay. Take a boat trip through the vast swamps of the southern Matanzas, past the Playa Girón, the landing site of the Bay of Pigs invasion of 1961. Continue to Cienfuegos for 1 night.

Day 6: Cienfuegos
Nicknamed “The Pearl of the South”, this charming, picturesque city sits right on the waterfront overlooking the beautiful natural bay. Explore the Cienfuegos botanical gardens, one of Cuba’s biggest botanical gardens and home to over 1,500 species of Caribbean flora. In the afternoon, transfer to Trinidad for 2 nights and dine in a privately run paladar.

Day 7: Trinidad
Take a walking tour of the town during the morning, visiting the Romantic Museum and the Casa de la Musica. In the afternoon, drive to the Valley of the Sugar Mills, dotted with former sugar plantations and the Manaca Iznaga watchtower.

Day 8: Santa Clara – Havana
Drive to Santa Clara, the sight of the turning point of the Cuban revolution and see the Che Guevara museum and mausoleum. After lunch, continue to Havana for 2 nights. Optional evening music performance.

Day 9: Havana
Spend a day at leisure in Havana or take optional visits to the Bellas Artes Museum, Hemingway’s Museum or the Revolution Musuem.

Days 10-11: Fly to London
Take an overnight flight to London via Madrid

La Moka Hotel, Las Terrazas
La Moka Hotel is a simple hotel set amid the forested hills of Las Terrazas. It features 42 air conditioned rooms, a multi-tiered atrium lobby built around a large tree, a restaurant and a small bar with beautiful views over the valley. Features: Restaurant, bar, garden, swimming pool, television room.

Melia San Carlos, Cienfuegos
The Melia San Carlos is located in the historic centre of Cienfuegos, less than a 5-minute walk from the main plaza. The hotel has retained its original 1920s facade, but the interior has been stylishly refurbished with a contemporary monochrome decor. Guestrooms are spacious and elegantly furnished, with views of either the city or inner courtyards of the hotel. The restaurant serves a range of local and international cuisine and is located on the top floor of the hotel so guests can enjoy beautiful views over the city.
