Day 1: Arrival in Paris
Fly or take the Eurostar to Paris and transfer to the ship.
Day 2: Les Andelys
After a relaxing morning on board taking in the stunning views, arrive in the historic little town of Les Andelys. After lunch, visit Château Gaillard, built by Richard the Lionheart, and learn about its history.
Day 3: Rouen
Awake in Rouen and enjoy a guided tour of this lovely historic city before another afternoon cruising this spectacular river. Moor in the pretty village of Caudebec this afternoon. After dinner, enjoy a performance by a French guitarist.
Day 4: Bayeux & Arromanches or Taste of Normandy
After breakfast, choose between two full-day tours. The first option takes you to the town of Bayeux, famed for tapestry of the Norman invasion of Britain. Then continue to the Bayeux Cemetery before travelling to Arromanches via Long-sur-Mer battery. After free time for lunch, visit the museum here followed by the British Normandy Memorial for a view of Gold Beach. The second option is a tasting tour of the region, during which you’ll visit a local cheese dairy, the town of Lisieux and a family-run estate to learn about cider and apple brandy.
Day 5: Honfleur
Enjoy a morning visit to Honfleur with its charming waterfront of pastel-coloured 18th-century houses and traditional shops. Later return to the ship for lunch and a relaxing afternoon of cruising.
Day 6: Giverny & Vernon
This morning’s tour is to Giverny and the home of the great Impressionist painter Claude Monet with one of the most famous gardens in the world. After lunch explore the quintessentially half-timbered houses and ancient winding streets of Vernon. This evening, enjoy the ‘Chef’s Dinner’
Day 7: Paris
Arriving in Paris, you can choose between a panoramic coach tour or a walking tour to discover the city’s landmarks. The afternoon is at leisure to explore independently. After dinner, enjoy a performance by a professional accordionist.
Day 8: Return Home
Transfer to the train station or airport for your return journey
