Day 1 – Arrive in Cologne
Fly to Dusseldorf or Cologne, or take the Eurostar to Brussels. On arrival, transfer to the ship which is docked in Cologne. Enjoy some time to settle into your cabin

Day 2 – Koblenz and Boppard
Awake to the sight of vine-covered valleys as you glide into Koblenz. Admire its collection of castles and churches during a guided tour and free time to explore. Return to the ship for lunch as you cruise to Boppard, the ‘Pearl of the Rhine’. You’ll take another guided tour, with a local expert, highlights including the beautiful St Severus church and marketplace.

Day 3 – Rhine Gorge & Mainz
Leave Boppard and sail through the Rhine Gorge, taking in the high cliffs as you pass. Arrive in Mainz, renowned for its wine and as home of Johannes Gutenberg, inventor of the printing press. Visit the city’s museums to discover its history.

Day 4 – Heidelberg
After cruising down river in the night, you’ll disembark after breakfast for a drive to Heidelberg, an architectural treasure sitting amongst forests and dominated by its imposing castle. Explore the stone bridge and other sights and see why this town was the centre of Germany’s Romantic Movement.

Day 5 – Strasbourg and Colmar
Cross over into France and visit the charming city of Strasbourg. Take in the pretty canals and classic houses of the Petite France quarter with a local guide before taking a scenic drive through a wine route to Colmar. Enjoy its magical mixture of canals and antique shops before returning to the ship in Strasbourg.

Day 6 – Rüdesheim
Spend the day relaxing on board before arriving in Rüdesheim for a walking tour. This typical Rhine town is surrounded by vine-covered slopes and you can sample the local wines at one of the town’s Weinstuben. Back onboard the ship, enjoy the Captain’s Dinner.

Day 7 – Cologne
Enjoy magnificent views as you pass through the Rhine Gorge on your way to Cologne. Upon arrival, discover the city with a tour, including a visit to its iconic cathedral. You’ll also see the restored Old Town before returning to the ship for dinner.

Day 8 – Return Home
Transfer to the airport or Eurostar station for your return journey.
