Please note that depending on your departure date, your Christmas Gala dinner will be enjoyed on either Day 4 or 5 of the cruise

Day 1: Arrival in Budapest
Arrive at the airport for your flight to Budapest from where you’ll transfer to the ship. You’ll have time to settle in to your cabin and explore the ship that has been adorned with festive décor.

Day 2: Esztergom
Overnight, the ship will have sailed to Esztergom. Take a guided tour of the famous basilica which stands overlooking the Danube. The castle is also worth exploring while here. While in Esztergom, you’ll have time to browse the Christmas market here, before returning to the ship for lunch. In the afternoon, the ship will begin its journey to Bratislava.

Day 3: Bratislava
Awake to the sight of Bratislava, which you’ll explore on this morning’s guided tour. See its imposing castle and enjoy some free time to admire the festive decorations and Christmas markets. This afternoon is spent cruising through Lower Austria.

Day 4: Melk
After breakfast, visit the remarkable Melk Abbey, a functional monastery. Later, re-join the ship for lunch and the final cruise up through the pretty Nibelugengau.

Day 5: Salzburg or Linz
Reaching Linz, you’ll have a choice of two included excursions. You can choose to remain in Linz and take a guided walking tour of the Baroque Old Town. Alternatively, join a tour to Salzburg. In the evening, begin to cruise towards Vienna whilst enjoying dinner.

Day 6: Vienna
After breakfast, see Vienna’s main sights including St Stephen’s Cathedral and the Hofburg complex. There’ll also be time to explore the Christmas Markets. After lunch onboard, visit the magnificent Schonbrunn Palace, which houses a range of world-class museums and galleries. Return to the ship for the Chef’s Dinner, followed by a classical music recital.

Day 7: Budapest
In the morning, take in the wintery scenery as the ship sails back to Budapest. In the afternoon, take a tour of the city and enjoy some free time to see the markets. Dinner tonight is followed by a Hungarian folklore show.

Day 8: Return home
Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
