– Dinghy sailing (inclusive tuition): The sandy, shallow launch area makes the bay ideal for learning to sail, with stronger breezes further out once your confidence grows. All tuition follows the RYA teaching scheme, with group sessions available for different levels. A full range of dinghies is provided, from beginner single handers to catamarans and advanced boats.

– Windsurfing (inclusive tuition): It’s a great spot for windsurfing, with lighter winds in the morning for beginners and stronger breezes later for improvers and intermediates. Tuition follows the RYA scheme, and a full range of boards and rigs is available for all ages and abilities.

– Kayaking & paddleboarding: The sweeping sandy bay with clear, warm water is perfect for kayaking and paddle boarding, with beautiful pine-fringed views all around. Equipment includes single and double sit-on-top kayaks, wave kayaks, Red Paddle Co paddle boards (10’8″), and an XXL board for up to eight people.

– Kite surfing: Sardinia’s reliable winds make it a great spot for kitesurfing, from beginner lessons to equipment hire for experienced riders. Sessions can be arranged nearby at San Teodoro beaches, about a 25-minute drive away, subject to wind conditions and availability.

– Tennis (inclusive coaching): There are four tennis courts at the Beach Club, with group sessions, free play, and friendly socials for all levels. A selection of Wilson rackets for adults and children is available to use.

– Mountain biking & road cycling (inclusive guided rides): Sardinia is fantastic for cycling, with scenic road routes through the mountains and flatter options for beginners. Mountain biking ranges from easy trails to technical climbs, and there are bikes suitable for families with children over 13. Neilson offer road bikes, mountain bikes, kids’ bikes and electric bikes (subject to availability), plus premium carbon road bikes available to reserve at an additional cost. If you’re bringing cycling shoes with cleats, Neilson recommend bringing your own pedals.

– Fitness & swimming: Tucked beneath the pines, the outdoor fitness deck is a special spot for anything from a full workout to a gentle stretch. And if you’re after instant calm, a stroll to the beach at dusk with those golden sea views is hard to beat. You can also dive into Neilson’s swimming programme, with pool sessions and open-water swims to enjoy.

Sea Urchins
3 years

From beach adventures to catamaran and kayak trips, playing tennis, making stuff and face-painting, your pre-schoolers will be eager to get back to their new friends and new experiences as soon as they can. There’s a ratio of 1:4.

• Club hours – 4 days a week from 9.30 am-5.30 pm, 2 days a week from 2.30 pm-11 pm
• Meals – lunch is supervised on 4 days and high tea at 5 pm is included every day.

Sea Badgers
4-5 years

Sea Badgers will be kayaking, dinghy sailing, riding in ski boats, playing tennis and having pirate adventures. There’s a ratio of 1:5.

• Meals – lunch is supervised on 4 days and high tea at 5 pm is included every day.

Surfbusters
6-7 years

Your kids will get the chance to turn their hand to watersports including sailing and kayaking. They’ll also be playing volleyball and tennis before getting together for an evening social. There’s a ratio of 1:8.

• Meals – lunch is supervised on 4 days, evening meals with parent or guardian.

8-9 years

Group activities include volleyball, pool games, sailing, rounders and kayaking, with fun evening socials at the end of the day. There’s a ratio of 1:10.

• Meals – lunch is supervised on 4 days, and evening meal is with parent or guardian.

Stingrays
10-11 years

Created just for 10 and 11-year-olds, Stingrays will enjoy a wide range of activities, both on and off the water, encouraging teamwork and having so much fun! Neilson also get the Stingrays together for movie nights and socials. There is a ratio of 1:10

• Club hours – four days a week from 9.30 am-5.30 pm, two days a week from 2.30 pm-11 pm
• Meals – lunch is supervised on four days, evening meals with parent or guardian
• Evenings – we look after the Stingrays on two evenings within the standard club hours, with free evening care from 7-11 pm on 2 more evenings.

Surf Squad
12-13 years

In the sea or on the beach, they’ll be mixing it up with new friends before enjoying social nights. There’s a ratio of 1:12.

• Club hours – 4 days a week from 9.30 am-12.30 pm & 2.30 pm-5.30 pm, 2 days a week from 2.30 pm-11 pm
• Meals – meals are taken with parent or guardian, except on social evenings.
• Evenings – 4 teen social nights per week until 10 pm – including pizza, movies and BBQ.

Wave Riders
14-15 years

Neilson give their Wave Riders a chance to cut loose and enjoy plenty of fun times with new friends. They’ll get to try as many activities as possible, including volleyball, tennis and kayaking. If children aged 14 and over want to try other watersports, Neilson encourage them to join the adult sessions.

TAG
16-17 years

TAG is designed to get teenagers to enjoy full days of activity. Teens are encouraged to sign up for activity sessions and join in games at other times. Neilson also organise evening meals, quizzes and excursions.

Hot Shots
8-13 years

Neilson have fully qualified Royal Yachting Association (RYA) instructors to help your kids master windsurfing and dinghy sailing. The RYA Youth Sailing Awards are available to help improve their skills. The children will be in the sea and pool as much as possible, with activities including kayaking and paddle boarding. There’s a ratio of 1:6.

• Club hours – 6 days a week from 9.30am-5.30pm
• Meals – lunch is supervised, evening meals with a parent or guardian.
• Evenings – we look after the Hot Shots from 7-11pm on 5 evenings

Neilson’s kids’ clubs are designed so every child can enjoy the activities to the fullest in a fun, supportive environment where their wellbeing comes first. For children who may find busy groups or new surroundings overwhelming, they also offer a one-to-one care service, helping them feel comfortable, safe and able to join in activities with their new friends.

Evening childcare
Neilson also run evening kids clubs, so parents can enjoy a relaxed dinner or drinks while the children are looked after. For the younger clubs, two evenings are included within standard hours, with additional Sleep Club sessions available from 7–11 pm on selected nights. Older children and teens enjoy supervised evening socials three nights a week, from movie nights and pizza to games and beach hangouts, giving them the chance to have fun with new friends while parents enjoy the evening.

Kids facilities at Alana

In the Beachclub, you’ll find a kids’ pool and play area, as well as mini golf. Neilson can also provide cots, baby baths and buggies for use during your stay. On site, there’s also a 24-hour baby room for guests with younger children.

The rooms at Baia dei Mori are all on one level and sit in the shaded gardens full of pine trees. Each room features a small terrace. You can choose from twin, double, triple, family and interconnecting room types

Your holiday includes club board meals with daily breakfast, daily lunch and four evening meals each week. At Baia dei Mori Beach Club, dining has an Italian twist, with freshly baked pizza from the oven and relaxed al fresco meals in the shaded restaurant at the heart of the club. Inclusive evening meals are served on Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday and Friday.

On non-inclusive evenings, you can dine at the Bistro, join a Sardinian-themed night, or head out to explore. A short walk along the beach leads to a few bars and restaurants among the pines, or you can take a taxi to Budoni, around 4 km away, for a wider choice of places to eat and drink.
