This tour combines some of Egypt’s most impressive historic sites with the highlights of Jordan’s cultural heritage and spectacular landscapes. Cruise along the Nile on the superior Sonesta St George I and visit magnificent temple complexes. In Jordan, explore the rose-red city of Petra, the classical site of Jerash and the biblical site of Mount Nebo, finishing with a relaxing stay on the shores of the Dead Sea.
Day 1: Fly to Cairo, Egypt
Fly to Cairo and transfer to the Cairo Marriott Hotel for 2 night.

Day 2: Cairo
Half-day tour of Giza to see the Great Pyramids and Sphinx. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to the Egyptian Museum for an afternoon guided tour.

Day 3: Fly to Aswan
Transfer to Caro airport for a morning flight to Aswan. On arrival, transfer to the Sonesta St George I for a 3-night cruise. Visit the High Dam and the Temple of Philae. Take a felucca trip on the Nile before dinner.

Day 4: Kom Ombo – Edfu – Esna
Sail to Kom Omvo and visit the Temple of Sobek and Haroeris. Sail to Edfu and visit Edfu Temple.

Day 5: Luxor
Early morning sailing to Luxor. Visit the Valley of the Kings, the temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon on the West Bank.

Day 6: Luxor – Cairo
Disembark in the morning. Visit Karnak and Luxor temples, then transfer to Luxor airport for a flight to Cairo. On arrival, transfer to the airport for an overnight stay.

Day 7: Fly to Amman, Jordan
Transfer to Cairo airport for a flight to Amman. On arrival, take a half-day city tour of Amman including the citadel with panoramic views of the city and the restored Roman theatre.

Day 8: Jerash – Madaba – Mount Nebo – Petra
Morning visit to the Graeco-Roman city of Jerash. Continue to Madaba and its Byzantine mosaic map of the region and Mount Nebo, from where Moses first viewed the Holy Land. After, visit Kerak castle, one of the largest and most complete castles in the Levant. Stay at the Mövenpick Resort Petra for 2 nights.

Day 9: Petra
Enjoy a full day’s exploration of Petra. Walk through the Siq, the narrow gorge leading into the city, to the stunning Treasury.

Day 10: Wadi Rum – Dead Sea
Travel to the Dead Sea, stopping at Wadi Rum en route. Enjoy a 4×4 excursion into the heart of the desert, passing spectacular rock formations. Continue to the Dead Sea and check into your hotel for a 2-night stay.

Day 11: Dead Sea
Enjoy a day at leisure. Spend time relaxing in this tranquil setting, indulge in a revitalising spa treatment and float in the salty, mineral-rich waters.

Day 12: Fly home
Transfer to Amman airport and fly home.
