Days 1-2: Fly to Tashkent
Fly overnight to Tashkent. After checking into your hotel, the rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 3: Discover Tashkent
Explore the city today, beginning in the old town. Here you’ll see Barak Khana Seminary, TilShaikh mosqure and their archives. Then, continue to Chorsu bazaar and Kukeldash Madrassah. Attend a ceramics workshop followed by a tea ceremony. Finally, visit Amir Temur square and the famous metro.

Day 4: Journey to Khiva
This morning, fly to Nukus. Here, visit the Igor Savitskiy Museum, home to a fine collection of Soviet era art. In the afternoon, drive to Khiva. Along the way, visit Chalpik Kala, an ancient Zoroastrian funerary site and Toprak Kala, the ancient town of Khorezm.

Day 5: Itchan Kala
Head inside Itchan Kala, Uzbekistan’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here you’ll explore the Kukhna Ark Fortress, the turquoise Islom-Khodja Minaret and the Pakhlavan Makhmud Mausoleum. Later, visit Madrassah Rakhimkhon, the Kalta Minor Minaret and Tash Hauli Palace. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Khoresmian folklore perfomance.

Day 6: Across the Kyzyl Kum Desert
Travel across the Kyzyl Kum Desert, along the ancient Silk Road. Enjoy photo stopes and a visit to the Amudarya River. Arrive in Bukhara this afternoon.

Day 7: Bukhara
Discover Bukhara’s historic centre, from Lab-i-Khauz to iconic madrassahs and the Poi Kalon complex. Enjoy lunch with a suzani master, then visit the Ark Fortress and key sites, ending at Hunarmand workshops to see traditional crafts.

Day 8: Bukhara to Samarkand
Continue sightseeing of Bukhara with an out-of-town excursion to visit the Sitora-i-Mokhikhosa, the summer residence of the former emir. In the afternoon transfer to the railway station for the train to Samarkand.

Day 9: Samarkand
Explore Samarkand’s highlights, from Registan Square and its madrassahs to Tamerlane’s Gur Emir and Bibi-Khanum Mosque. Browse the Silk Road bazaar, visit Shahi Zinda, and finish with a winery tour and tasting.

Day 10: Shakhrisabz
Travel to Shakhrisabz, the birthplace of conqueror Amir Timur. Explore the city’s highlights, including the ruins of Ak-Sarai Palace, Dorus-Tilavat cemetery, and Kok-Gumbas Mosque, before returning to Samarkand in the afternoon.

Day 11: Samarkand to Tashkent
Today, visit Ulugbek’s observatory and the ancient settlement of Afrosiab. After, enjoy some free time to shop in Samarkand before continuing by train to Tashkent.
