The northern state of Pennsylvania was one of the original 13 colonies when America was founded, sandwiched between New York, Ohio, Maryland, New Jersey, Delaware and West Virginia. Pennsylvania has a diverse terrain, with farmland, national forests and mountains. Philadelphia has a fascinating history with Independence Hall, where the Declaration of Independence and United States Constitution were debated and approved, and the Liberty Bell, a symbol of America’s freedom from the United Kingdom (even though it was cast by the London-based Whitechapel Bell Foundry, who also manufactured Big Ben).
