From colourful springtime blossom and ‘maple sugaring’ to fiery autumn foliage, New England is a place for all seasons. Discover its inspiring scenery and fascinating history as you visit the historic towns, enjoy beautiful mountain and spend time in cosmopolitan Boston.
Day 1: UK Boston Plymouth
After taking Saga’s included UK door-to-door travel service to the airport, fly to Boston where you are met and taken to Hyannis for a five-night stay at the Hyannis Harbor Hotel (3Q) in the historic Harborfront Village.
Day 2: Plymouth
Set off after breakfast for a full day of touring the sites of Plymouth, where pilgrims from the Mayflower founded a colony in 1620.
Day 3: Boston
Travel to Boston for a half-day included tour. A highlight will be catching sight of USS Constitution, better known as ‘Old Ironsides’ for the strength of its oak hull. There will also be time to explore the streets of 17th-century Boston on a visit to the historic North End district – both the city’s oldest house and its oldest church can be found here.
Day 4: Nantucket Island
Enjoy today at leisure, perhaps joining an optional excursion to Nantucket island, or the island of Martha’s Vineyard.
Day 5: Cape Cod
See the charming fishing ports, delightful art galleries and deserted sand dunes of Cape Cod on an included full-day scenic drive which includes a stop in pretty Provincetown.
Day 6: Plymouth to Lincoln
Travel to North Conway, with a pause en route in Salem, one of the most significant seaports in early America. It may be most widely known as the site of the Salem witchcraft trials of 1692, but this colourful, coastal city has much to offer with a rich maritime heritage, an impressive display of historic architecture and amazing stories that span almost four centuries.
Day 7: The White Mountains National Forest
A full-day included excursion takes you to the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Many of the mountains lie within the White Mountain National Forest and during your tour look forward to a memorable rail journey on the Conway Scenic Railroad.
Day 8: Lincoln and Flume Gorge and Cannon Mountain
Choose to enjoy today or leisure or join an optional excursion to Flume Gorge and Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway, riding to the top of Cannon Mountain.
Day 9: Vermont and New Hampshire
Begin your day with an included full-day excursion to the Morse Maple Sugar Farm where you can see how maple syrup is made. In tiny Montpelier you’ll see the State Capitol, while in the picturesque town of Bath you can visit the Brick Store, which claims to be the oldest shop in the USA.

At leisure. An optional full-day tour explores the Lakes Region of New Hampshire. Dinner is included this evening.
