Day 1: Fly to San Jose
Fly to Costa Rica’s capital where you’ll transfer to your hotel, before having the rest of the day to yourself. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner

Day 2: San Jose
Spend the morning getting to know more about the city, visiting the main streets, theatres and museums. Later on, head to the town of Escazu where you’ll enjoy lunch in a local restaurant, visit a local artisan and a sugar cane mill.

Day 3: Travel to Tortuguero Village
Travel through Braulio Carrillo National Park, passing through rural towns and plantations, before boarding a boat to cross into the jungle area of Tortuguero. In the afternoon, meet with a village elder to learn about the town’s history

Day 4: Explore Tortuguero
Start the day with a boat ride on the canals, where you can see the wide range of creatures that call the National Park home including reptiles, birds and even jaguars. Return back to town to explore more and learn about the local culture

Day 5: Travel to Arenal
Cross mountains and rivers as you continue on to one of Costa Rica’s landmarks, the Arenal Volcano. Stop at the town of Sarapiqui to visit a local farmer and taste freshly cut Heart of Palm.

Day 6: Arenal Volcano
This morning, visit Eco Centro Danaus, one of the area’s most important wildlife projects. In the afternoon, head to the Arenal 1968 Park, and enjoy a walk that offers panoramic views of the volcano and lake. Finish the day with a stop at some hot springs to relax.

Day 7: Rio Penas Blancas
Enjoy a trip in an inflatable boat through the scenic Río Peñas Blancas as you try to spot a wide variety of trees, birds, monkeys, and other wildlife. Your afternoon is at leisure before heading into town to enjoy an evening experiencing amongst the locals.

Day 8: Travel to Monteverde
Leave the volcano behind as you move into the cloud forest area of Monteverde. Experience at night-time walk through the forest, learning about the wildlife.

Day 9: Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve
Take a memorable walk along the Hanging bridges to see all the flora and fauna of the forest. In the afternoon, enjoy some free time to explore the park or relax before a local host shares the history of Monteverde.

Day 10: Travel to Manuel Antonio
After breakfast, head to the last destination of this trip, the area of Manuel Antonio. This area hosts not only a large variety of flora and fauna in a relatively small area of land, but also a significant patch of protected sea. After taking in amazing views of the Nicoya Gulf you will arrive at your hotel where you spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 11: Manuel Antonio National Park
Explore the pristine natural beauty of the National Park, filled with exotic wildlife. A picturesque walk takes you to a beautiful beach.

Day 12: Manual Antonio
Spend the morning at leisure before exploring the local markets in Quepos to pick out ingredients for dinner. Continue to a private ranch in Londres to choose the finishing touches for your dinner, which you’ll prepare with guidance from expert local cooks.

Days 13-14: Fly to the UK
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight home, arriving the next day.
