As the capital of one of the most affluent rural areas in China, Chengdu has developed into a large and modern city, yet within crooked backstreets you will still find all the charms of old China. Wander amongst the traditional wooden houses and bustling street markets, through the aromas of Sichuan spices cooking.

Day 1 – Arrive in Chengdu
Transfer to your hotel before spending the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 2 – Panda Conservation Centre
Visit the Panda Conservation Centre to see the pandas being reared in a surroundings similar to their natural habitat. You’ll also visit the Dujiangyan Irrigation Project

Day 3 – Grand Buddha of Leshan
Travel to Leshan, home of the world’s largest stone carved Buddhist statue. A short boat trip is involved to view the stature. Afterwards, travel back to Chengdu

Day 4 – Depart Chengdu
Transfer to the airport for your onward journey
