Day 1 – Arrive in Bordeaux
Travel by plane or train to Bordeaux, before transferring to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Bordeaux, known as the “Pearl of the Aquitaine” is known for its wine and cuisine meaning you’re spoilt for choice as you search for a restaurant for dinner tonight.

Day 2 – Bordeaux
This morning, tour the city, on foot and by coach. Along the way, stop to admire the Place de la Bourse and the famous Miroir d’Eau, one of the city’s main attractions. As the tour continues, marvel at the Opera house and the charming waterfront. After the tour, the rest of the afternoon is free for you to spend as your wish.

Day 3 – Saint Emilion
Saint Emilion is known for some of the most famous wines, and today you’ll get the chance to visit a chateaux for a tour and tasting. The guide will tell you about the history of the chateaux and the grapes used here before you have the chance to taste some of the final product. In the late morning, there will be some time to explore the village and have lunch.

In the afternoon, visit the cloisters of Les Cordeliers. Here you’ll venture underground to see some of the 3km of tunnels that run under the citadel and nearby vineyards. In the restored church, take the opportunity to try their bubbly crémant.

Day 4 – City of Wine
Visit the city of wine, a museum dedicated to wine. Learn about the history of wine, digitally touring vineyards across the globe and learn about the tastes and textures with hands-on examples. End the visit with a wine tasting at top the museum, with views out over the city. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 5 – Return home
Transfer to the airport or train station for your journey home.
