Day 1 – Arrive in Rome
Fly to Rome, and transfer to your hotel.
Day 2 – Board the Royal Clipper
The morning is free for you to explore Rome as you wish before driving to Civitavecchia to board the Royal Clipper.
Day 3 – Sorrento & Pompeii
Today, the ship anchors below the villas of Sorrento. You’re free to take in the sights of the town or join an included tour of Pompeii.
Day 4 – Capri
Head ashore on the legendary island of Capri, where you have a free day of exploring, giving you the chance to visit its picturesque main town, or head into the Blue Grotto. In the early evening, return to the ship which sets sail for Sicily, passing the volcanic Aeolian Islands.
Day 5 – Taormina
Awake off the shore of Sicily as you sail towards the bay of Taormina, a town renowned for its beautiful gardens and peaceful atmosphere. The day’s guided tour takes in the town’s greatest claim to fame, its amazingly preserved Greek theatre.
Day 6 – At sea
Spend the day sailing across the Adriatic sea to Greece. There’s plenty to do on the ship, whether you simply want to relax on the sun deck with a book or climb to the crow’s nest.
Day 7 – Katakolon & Ancient Olympia
This morning, you arrive in Katakolon, the gateway to ancient site of Olympia. There’s an optional tour of the site, visiting the museum housing archaeological finds including superb bronze artifacts.
Day 8 – Corfu
Sail to Greece’s emerald island, Corfu. You have a choice between two guided tours today. The first takes you to Achilleion, a palace built by Empress Elizabeth of Austria. Then return to Corfu Town for a walking tour of its narrow lanes. The second option is a drive to the bays of Paleokastritsa. Visit the Byzantine Monastery of the Virgin and its small museum that hosts a unique collection of icons before returning to the Old Town of Corfu.
Day 9 – Kotor, Montenegro
By morning, the Star Clipper will have sailing into beautiful Montenegro. Sail into the Bay of Kotor and anchor at the town of Kotor. Explore this delightful town of cobbled streets and charming squares.
Day 10 – Dubrovnik
This morning enjoy views of the Dalmatian coast before you glide into Dubrovnik. See its wonderful array of monasteries, churches and civic buildings on the day’s included tour before having some free time to explore at leisure before returning to the ship for dinner.
Day 11 – Hvar
Hvar is one of the most enchanting spots in the entire Mediterranean, Disembark into the island’s main towns where you’ll be able to explore before the ship continues it’s voyage up the Dalmatian coast.
Day 12 – Rovinj, Croatia
Disembark in the fishing port of Rovinj, taking the morning to explore medieval lanes, art galleries or relax at a charming waterfront café. This afternoon, the ship sails towards Venice, the final stop on the voyage.
Day 13 – Venice
The ship arrives in Venice in the morning. Enjoy a tour of the city, seeing famous sights such as the Doge’s Palace, St Mark’s and much more, before you check int your hotel. There’s also plenty of time to explore independently.
Day 14 – Return flights
Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
