Day 1 – Arrival in Montenegro
Arrive at the airport for your flight to Dubrovnik or Tivat. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in Budva before enjoying a welcome reception with drinks and dinner
Day 2 – Budva & wine tasting
This morning, get acquainted with Montenegro’s most popular coastal town, Budva. Visit the medieval town with a local guide, travelling through the narrow streets to its seaside citadel. In the afternoon, head in land to the Šipčanik wine cellar, located in an underground aircraft hangar. While here, tour the vineyard and try some of the wine produced here.
Day 3 – Kotor & Perast
Make the short journey from Budva to the splendid Bay of Kotor. The first stop today is the moated town of Kotor itself. Here a tour will showcase the medieval town’s churches and fortifications as well as colourful market.
Travel a little along the bay, where you’ll find the idyllic town of Perast. Perast is renowned for its man-made island, crowned by the Our Lady of the Rocks. A short boat ride brings you to the island to look around the charming church and museum before you return to the mainland for a scenic drive around the bay. At the end of the day, board the ferry across, heading back to Budva
Day 4 – Cetinje & Food Tasting
Head to Cetinje, the former capital of Montenegro. Here you’ll visit King Nikola’s Museum which showcases the story of the country over the 58-year of its innovated rulers, Nikola and Milena.
Following the visit to the museum, head to an authentic restaurant in the countryside for a tasting sessions of traditional Montenegrin favourites including priganice, doughnuts served with honey. Then return to Budva and have dinner together in the hotel
Day 5 – Free day in Budva
Today, explore Budva as you wish before having your final dinner at the hotel
Day 6 – Bar & Lake Skadar
Drive along the coastal roads to Stari Bar, stopping at Sveti Stefan for a photo stop on the way. Upon arriving, you have the chose to explore the town independently or join your tour manager on a walking tour. Grab some lunch before departing for Lake Skadar, home to half of Europe’s population of Dalmatian Pelicans, as well as numerous of species of bird. Take a boat trip along the lake, before enjoying dinner in a local restaurant overlooking Budva Bay. Experience a traditional Balkan ‘under the bell’ feast
Day 7 – Dubrovnik
This morning, drive into Croatia to spend the morning touring Dubrovnik with a local guided. After lunch at leisure, the afternoon is free to explore before checking in to your hotel. Later in the evening visit a restaurant for dinner, complete with a traditional folklore show.
Day 8 – Return Home
Transfer to the airport for your flight home
