Water Activities

A wide range of water sports is included, from sailing and windsurfing to water skiing, wakeboarding, kayaking, and paddleboarding – perfect for all abilities.

Dinghy Sailing

Enjoy relaxed sailing in the morning or head out later when the afternoon breeze picks up. Lessons follow the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) scheme, offering safe, structured progression. Group sessions are available for all levels.

Equipment includes catamarans, beginner double and single handers, and intermediate to advanced dinghies.

Windsurfing

Ideal for all levels, with calm conditions in the morning for beginners and stronger afternoon winds for more experienced riders. Tuition also follows the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) programme.

A full range of boards and rigs is available, from beginner setups to advanced shortboards, including equipment for children.

Water Skiing & Wakeboarding

Start your day with an early session on the water. Each guest gets up to two free tows per week (three on longer stays), with upgrade packs available for additional sessions.

Kayaking & Paddleboarding

A relaxed way to explore the coastline, kayaking and paddleboarding are easy to pick up and suitable for all. Head to the waterfront to get started, or join a guided kayak safari.

Equipment includes single and double kayaks, wave kayaks, and a range of paddleboards, including multi-person options.

Cycling

Enjoy varied terrain with technical climbs, flowing descents, olive groves, and long open roads for all levels. As one of Neilson’s top Beach Clubs for cycling, it offers a wide range of guided mountain and road rides daily, or you can explore independently.

A fleet of high-quality road, mountain, electric, and premium carbon bikes ensures a smooth ride. Premium bikes can be reserved with custom setup and preloaded Garmin routes (see prices in resort; available 8am–6pm).

Bike options include:

• Mountain: Trek X-Caliber 9 (XS–XXL)
• Road: Trek Domane AL4 (44–60)
• Electric: Trek Marlin 8+
• Premium carbon road bikes (47–62cm)

If you use cleats, bring your own pedals for the best fit.

Tennis & Pickleball

Play on 7 resurfaced tennis courts with a mix of coaching and free play. For more focused training, the premium tennis pack includes 10 hours of group coaching, 4 drill sessions, and a private lesson over 5 days (limited to 8 players; pre-booking recommended).

In 2026, former GB player Mark Petchey, also known for coaching Andy Murray, will host an exclusive coaching week .

Try pickleball on 6 dedicated courts, blending tennis, badminton, and table tennis. Wilson rackets for adults and children are provided.

Climbing

There’s an on-site climbing wall, plus the option to book outdoor rock climbing nearby (approx. 1 hour away) with over 30 bolted routes.

Minimum age is 8, and children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.

Fitness and swimming

Back at the club, stretch and relax or push it to the max with a high-energy class on the fitness deck by the beach – including HYROX-inspired sessions for those who like their workouts with a competitive edge. There’s also a functional fitness studio with a rig, slam balls, core bags, med balls, dumbbells and resistance bands, plus a dedicated indoor cycling studio and Les Mills BODYPUMP™️ classes.

Cool off in the large (approx. 50m) swimming pool, try out fresh new swim sessions, or make a splash in open water. Feel like levelling up, add on some swim coaching for that little bit extra!

All Kids’ clubs run 6 days a week: 4 days from 9.30 am-12:30 pm & 2:30 pm-5:30 pm; 2 days a week from 2:30 pm-11 pm. All children aged up to 16 years will be provided with a rash vest

Starfish Creche
4-23 months
Babies and younger toddlers can spend their day playing in the sand or playing on their trikes. Drinks, snacks, and high tea are all included during club hours.

2 years and 3 years
Toddlers can have their first experience out on the water, on a kayak or a catamaran. Plus, they’ll have fun doing arts and crafts back in the club house

Sea Badgers
4-5 years
For 4- and 5-year-olds, most of their time is spent on the beach, or out on the water.

Surfbusters
6-7 years
At this club, they’ll get the chance to start learning how to sail and kayak, as well as play volleyball and tennis before fun social evenings

Sharksters
8-9 years
There’s no shortage of fun activities for them to get involved with before their fun evening socials

Stingrays
10-11 years
Both water sports and land sports are available for them to try, with movie nights later in the evening on selected nights

Surf Squad
12-13 years
They’ll spend the day learning new skills while making new friends

Wave Riders
14-15 years
Teenagers have the opportunity to try as many activities as they want, with the ability to join the adult sessions

TAG
16-17 years
Older teenagers are encouraged to sign up to for the activity sessions on offer, as well as enjoy fun quizzes, excursions and evening meals.

Hot Shots
8-13 years
This club is gives kids the ability to learn sailing and windsurfing from Royal Yacht Association instructors

Evening childcare
All Kids’ clubs provide two nights of inclusive evening childcare. There is a sleep club available on three additional evenings for those aged 4 months to 5 years, between 7pm and 11pm. This is at an extra cost.

For those ages 6 to 17 years, these three extra evenings of care are free.

For those travelling with babies or toddlers, the Beachclub may be able to provide the following:

In resort, there is a 24-hour baby room, where parents are able to sterilise and prepare bottles, and feed younger children/babies.

The rooms at Messini can be found in two area: the garden or the hotel.

Rooms in the garden area are stylish and sleek and offer either a terrace with access to the lawns or a balcony. The following rooms types are available in the gardens:

Rooms in the hotel are close to the pool and the restaurant, and offer balconies that look out over the pool, beach, or the surrounding countryside. The following room types can be found in the hotel:

At Messini Beachclub, club board dining consists of daily breakfast and lunch, as well as 4 evening meals. The inclusive evening meals night are Saturday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

On the other evenings, you can enjoy a BBQ night, have a pizza or burger at the beach bar or take a short stroll along the beach where you’ll find some local tavernas

Local Area 

Step beyond the Beach Club and you’ll find yourself in peaceful rural Greece, rich in tradition and natural beauty. Explore lush valleys, sandy beaches, hidden coves, and quiet villages nestled along the slopes of the Taygetus Mountains. 

For a livelier atmosphere, nearby Kalamata offers a vibrant mix of culture and coastal charm. The city is framed by mountains and lined with waterfront tavernas, bars, and restaurants. Visit the historic Castle of Isabeau for open-air performances, wander the old town’s shops, or time your visit for the bustling Wednesday or Saturday market. 

Dyros Caves 

Discovered in 1958, the Dyros Caves date back to the Neolithic age, with artefacts including tools and ceramics uncovered inside. Explore the caves by boat across an underground lake before continuing on foot through the caverns. 

Ancient Messinia 

Around 30 minutes from Messini, Ancient Messene is a remarkably preserved archaeological site set among the foothills of Mount Ithomi. Walk along ancient walls, past towers and olive groves, or visit the museum to learn more about this once-fortified city. 

Stenosia River Trail 

For a more adventurous experience, the Stenosia River Trail offers a 7km jungle-like hike through Messinia’s wild landscape. Just 30 minutes from the Beach Club, it winds through shaded canyons, lush greenery, and hidden waterfalls—perfect for those happy to scramble, splash, and even take a swim.
