There is nothing more enchanting than the mesmerising scenery in South America and this wonderful Cox and Kings tour to Patagonia will charm you from the very beginning of your journey. You will focus on the natural and cultural highlights of the continent, including crossing the rocky Andes through Peru and Lake Titicaca. Wander the cobbled streets of La Paz, Bolivia’s capital city, as well as the magical city of Buenos Aires in Argentina. You will also visit the stunning Iguazu Falls and stay the night in Machu Picchu.
Day 1 – To Lima
Fly from London (regional connections available) to Lima Transfer to the Casa Andina Premium Miraflores for 2 nights.

Day 2 – Lima
Morning tour of Lima, including the colonial centre and a stop at the historic Cordano tavern for a local pisco sour.

Day 3 – To the Sacred Valley
Fly to Cuzco, the ancient capital of the Inca empire. Transfer to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, via the village of Chinchero and Ollantaytambo Inca fortress. Stay at the Casa Andina Premium Sacred Valley for 1 night.(Breakfast)
Day 4 – To Machu Picchu
Take the Vistadome train to Machu Picchu and explore this spectacular Inca city. Stay at Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo for 1 night.

Day 5 – To Cuzco
Morning at leisure or further explore Machu Picchu (purchase tickets at time of booking). In the afternoon, return to Cuzco by train and stay 2 nights at the Casa Andina Premium Cuzco.

Day 6 – Cuzco
Morning tour of Cuzco and San Blas. Afternoon at leisure or optional excursions.(Breakfast)
Day 7 – To Puno
Take the stylish PeruRail Titicaca train across the altiplano (high plain) to Puno on the shores of Lake Titicaca. Enjoy majestic vistas from the stylish lounge car, stop at La Raya (the highest point of the route), where the snowcapped Andes tower over deep valleys. Overnight stay at hotel

Day 8 – To Lake Titicaca
Travel by road to Huatajata in Bolivia visiting Copacabana and its shrine en route. Discover the cultural exhibition at the Andean Roots Eco Village, see how reed boats are constructed and meet a Kallawaya, a spiritual healer. Stay overnight at the Inca Utamaon on the shores of the lake and observe the southern constellations from the hotel’s astronomical observatory.(Breakfast and lunch)
Day 9 – Uros Iruitos • La Paz
After breakfast take a hydrofoil cruise to the Uros Iruitos floating reed islands and visit the Quewaya Sustainable Project. Continue overland to bustling La Paz and take an afternoon tour of the city, including the witches’ market and Moon Valley.(Breakfast)
Day 10 – To Buenos Aires
Fly to Buenos Aires, a city of grand architecture and European influences. Transfer to the Alvear Art Hotel for 2 nights.

Day 11 – Buenos Aires
Morning city tour including a visit to the cathedral, La Boca district and the Recoleta cemetery. Afternoon is at leisure

Days 12 & 13 – To Iguaçu Falls
Fly to Iguazú and visit the Brazilian side of the park for panoramic views of the thundering cataracts. The next day, explore the Argentinian side, including the Devil’s Throat.

Day 14– To Rio de Janeiro
Fly to Rio, set among mountains, tropical forests and golden beaches. Transfer to the Copacabana beach for a stay of 2 nights at the Fairmont Rio de Janeiro Copacabana

Day 15 – Rio de Janeiro
Full-day tour of Rio de Janeiro, including Corcovado and Sugar Loaf mountain. Enjoy a farewell drink.

At leisure or optional excursions. Evening flight to London with British Airways, arriving the following day.
