Days 1-2: Fly to Beijing
Fly overnight to Beijing, China’s historical capital. Depending on your time of arrival the rest of the day is yours to start soaking up the local culture.

Days 3-4: Beijing and the Great Wall
Visit Tiananmen Square and discover the Forbidden City before exploring the hutongs. In the evening, eat Peking Duck. The next day, walk on the Great Wall before strolling through the gardens of the Summer Palace.

Day 5: Temple of Heaven
Visit the Temple of Heaven, before a bullet train to Xian.

Days 6-7: Terracotta Warriors
Visit the Little Wild Goose Pagoda before exploring the Muslim Quarter. Tonight, enjoy Shui Jiao dumplings and a Tang Dynasty dance performance. The next day, view the terracotta army and stroll along the city walls.

Day 8: Fly to Yichang
Fly to Yichang to board your Yangtze River Cruise vessel.

Days 9-11: Yangtze River Cruise
Over the next three days prepare for one breathtaking panorama after another. Take a side trip to the attractive Goddess or Shennong Stream and enjoy shore excursions to the Ghost City of Fengdu or Shibaozhai.

Day 12: Old Ciqikou
Disembark in Chongqing, then explore Ciqikou. Transfer to Chengdu and enjoy a traditional Sichuanese dinner.

Day 13: Panda Conservation Centre
Visit Chengdu’s famous Panda Centre to see these celebrated bears in surroundings that mirror their natural habitat. Fly to the pleasant city of Dali

Day 14-15: Enchanting Dali
Over the next two days, travel to Xizhou Village to visit the local market, see the Yan Family House, cruise on Erhai Lake and visit the Three Pagodas. At the end of the second day, board a bullet train to Kunming.

Day 16: Stone Forest
Explore the picturesque Stone Forest and enjoy Across the Bridge Noodles for dinner.

Day 17: Bullet train to Guilin
Board the bullet train to the city of Guilin

Day 18: Li River
Take a cruise to Yangshao along the Li River.

Begin the day with a session of Tai Chi before spending the day exploring the countryside, with a range of optional activities available.

Day 20: Guilin
Drive back to Guilin and enjoy a visit to the Reed Flute Cave where you can admire colourful stalactites and stalagmites.

Day 21-22: Imperial Hangzhou
Spend a morning wandering around the Temple of Inspired Seclusion and the tea plantations of Meijiawu. The next day, cruise on the West Lake and visit Xihu Tiandi. Later on, continue to Suzhou.

Day 23: Suzhou Historical Town
Renowned for its gardens, visit two of the finest, the Humble Administrator’s Garden and cruise on the thousand-year-old Grand Canal

Day 24: Explore Shanghai
Travel to Shanghai. Visit Matchmakers corner, the Shanghai Museum & People’s Square. Later, cruise on the Huangpu River before sitting down to a Shanghainese meal.

Day 25: Shanghai
Today’s explorations include the traditional Yu Gardens and the atmospheric alleys of the old town. Admire the magnificent colonial architecture with a stroll along the Bund before enjoying the 1920s architectural styling of the Xintiandi area. This evening, watch the ERA acrobatic show.
